Shop Hand Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload parts from the oven and blast cabinet
  • Assist with masking parts and hanging them for coating
  • Keep the shop clean and organized
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Assist in prepping and cleaning parts for powder coating
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Spraying parts with manual and equipment.

Have knowledge of all powder coating equipment operation.

Have knowledge to clean and reassemble equipment during color changes.

Sand and repair of finished and unfinished parts.

Maintain a safe working environment including housekeeping.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
